COVID-19

Response & Guidelines

General:   As an organization dedicated to serving the college campuses of Duluth, we are committed to working in partnership with the collegiate administration to implement procedures which put student/public health and well-being above all things.  Our goal is to work within that framework to invite people to join our community and discover what it means to follow Jesus.

Our Strategy:  Walking with Jesus in community is central to our way of life.  Our plan is to find creative ways to bring students together as they experience God and navigate what it means to live for Him.  We will use a combination of virtual connection and following strict guidelines to safely gather in person.  We will continually adapt as new information and protocols are passed down to us by public health officials.

Virtual Option:  For all of our worship, small group, and training events  we will provide a virtual option via zoom  to any students who have underlying health conditions or simply do not feel comfortable gathering in person.

Gathering in Person: When gathering in person we will use the following measures:

  • We recommend anyone with underlying health conditions to join our virtual experiences only.

  • We ask anyone who has been exposed to someone with a confirmed Covid-19 case to isolate themselves for 14 days.

  • Whenever possible, we will seek to gather outdoors.

  • Prior to attending an event, we ask everyone to check themselves and stay home if they discover any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell.

  • We will practice social distancing at all times when gathering in person.

  • We will limit the attendance of indoor events to the capacity recommended to us by the campus administration as well as the state.

  • We ask everyone to regularly wash/sanitize their hands and will provide materials to do so.

  • Everyone attending our events will be required to wear masks indoors and in vehicles. We ask everyone to bring their own, but will have disposable masks on hand for anyone in need.

  • We will take temperatures and screen everyone attending our large events.

  • We will regularly wipe and sanitize all surfaces.

  • We will strictly follow the FDA Food Code for food preparation and service.

  • We ask anyone who attends one of our events and is later diagnosed with Covid-19 to inform us as soon as possible.

  • Those using microphones without masks will be appropriately spaced and separated from the rest of those attending.
